Academic administrator, state government appointee, and public health professor Deborah Prothrow-Stith (1954 - ) was appointed as the first woman and youngest Commissioner of Public Health for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 1995, she was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the National Commission on Crime Control and Prevention. Prothrow-Stith was interviewed by The HistoryMakers on 4/20/2005 and 12/7/2005, in Boston, Massachusetts and Milton, Massachusetts.
